After being reminded by a friend, Leo realizes all the support Si Si has given him without him knowing and shows his appreciation. In February 2015, TVB announced plans to end the series so the cast and production team could move on to other projects. However, the series' positive ratings led to a spin-off series with a whole new cast and production team.

The upcoming Netflix original series "The Glory" is revealed to be released in two different parts. The weekend of June 21, 2019, the cast held a meeting and made a notice to the public about the theme song's change. The story revolves around the Hung and Lung family, their work lives and friends, and in earlier episodes Lung King Fung's spirit that the Hung family befriends as one of the family. The sitcom, which was initially planned for 180 episodes, was given another 120 episodes in August 2012. However, with the increase in ratings, TVB has decided to trust the producers with 200 more episodes. Due to solid ratings, TVB extended the series to 300 episodes in January 2013.
The spinoff series was first broadcast on July 6, 2015, with the only returning cast members being Lai Lok-yi, Max Cheung, Griselda Yeung and Geoffrey Wong, who play minor roles in the second series. “Would it be possible to register this for the Guinness World Records? I’m positive it has beaten at least one historical record.” Kalok added that his grandfather on the show—Lau Dan—should be recognized as the artiste who has filmed the most sitcoms in TVB history. When Garry Boyle attacks Laura Marie tells Greg that she wants custody of their children and both consult solicitors. Marie seeks financial help from her mother Niamh who agrees but points out that a court appearance will reveal Billy as Laura's father. Meanwhile Laura has discovered that Brenna sent her mother abusive texts in her name and chooses to stay with Marie.

In May 2015, instead of ending the series TVB decided to spin-off the series focusing on a new cast instead. Louis Cheung and Priscilla Wong were confirmed to lead the new series at a press conference. The series centers around the family, employees and relationships of three shops in Hong Kong. The upcoming Netflix original movie "Jung_E" will officially be out in 2023.
"Come Home Love" revolves around the life of "Big Sir" Ma Fu , a retired correctional services officer and his typical middle-class family. He is the patriarch of the Ma family and his traditional and disciplinarian approach to life creates both friction and solutions. The other members of the family are his much younger sister Ma Yau ; second son and daughter-in-law, Ma Keung and Lo Lai Sheung ; the deceased eldest son's Ma Gin's, children Ma Tse Yan and Ma Tse Nei ; and youngest son Ma Chuang (Lai Lok-yi). Anson has just returned to Hong Kong after studying yoga in India.

The second series retains the Come Home Love title, but will not have any major connections to the first series. Chris Lai, Max Cheung, Griselda Yeung and Geoffrey Wong are the only cast members to resume their characters in the second series. Season 2 of Alchemy of Souls is off to a strong start, blowing past records set by the first season.
14 May – TVB has recently announced that they will be adding 200 more episodes to its sitcom, "Come Home Love", bringing up the episode total to 500. A promo image of Come Home Love was one of twelve series featured in TVB's 2015 calendar for the month of February. After extended the series multiple times because of solid ratings, TVB announced in February 2015 that they are planning to finally conclude the series even though the series is still doing well in the ratings. In 2020, the cast received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2020 TVB Anniversary Awards.
Ricco Ng and Kalok Chow are pushed to meaty roles as they play brothers in the new drama. They also announced that the sitcom has been renewed to 2,000 episodes, which would make it the longest-running scripted series ever. Into disputes daily and his elder brother Ma Keung and his wife Lo Lai Seung are often stuck in between and have to settle the disputes.
Greg is still reeling from the shock of his wife Marie mysteriously walking out on him and their three children without explanation. He is torn between obsessing over his ex and forming a new relationship. Seo Ji Hoon will possibly complete the love triangle for the upcoming romance K-drama "Useless Lies." With continued solid ratings and urging by audiences, TVB ordered an additional 200 episodes in May 2013. Totaling 500 episodes, the cast and crew held a banquet to celebrate the milestone.
At the court hearing Niamh forces Marie to reveal the truth about herself and Billy whilst Marie's solicitor points to Brenna's bad influence on the children. Marie meets an Internet date Jack, to whom she lies about having children, and enjoys a day out with work colleague Lucy, to whom she initially tells the same untruth but then comes clean, losing Lucy's friendship as a result. Marie is also involved in a car accident but Greg does not give a positive response. Meanwhile the vulgar Brenna fails to win over Greg's children and her obsessive husband Garry does not help matters. Marie turns to another old flame Billy for support before Garry plays his hand.
Hung Sue Gan starting from the bottom, established his own logistics company, which is now running smoothly. His second daughter Hung Yeuk Shui has reached the marriageable age, but has no hopes for marriage anytime soon. She is constantly bickering with her younger sister Hung Sum Yue, who is an honour student, over trivial matters, causing their father to not know whether to laugh or cry. Hung Sue Yan, Hung Sue Gan's brother, moves in with the family, temporarily ending his life as a nomadic photographer. He joins Hung Yeuk Shui's company and encounters Ko Pak Fei, the director of an online shop.
The couple also holds the heavy responsibility of raising their kids. Three generations in the Ma family all live together and encounter different situations, experiences, and system of values. Greg and Marie have been married for nineteen years, when, seemingly out of the blue, Marie walks out on him and her three children - the last taboo of parenting.
He wants to work as a yoga instructor at "See See Fitness", but his family eagerly wants him to take over their dry seafood business. His first day at the family shop, he uses his allergic reaction to the shop's pet cat as an excuse on why he can't be at the shop. TVB originally planned to have certain cast members and the production crew collaborate again in a new sitcom series. Plans were scrapped, Instead a spin-off series with a whole new cast and crew was created.

While planning the end of Come Home Love first series, TVB originally planned to have Louis Cheung, Eliza Sam, and a cast of fresh talents star in the upcoming sitcom. However plans were scrapped by TVB as they were afraid audiences might not react well to unknown new talents. Leo is the owner and popular fitness instructor of "See See Fitness", his long-time girlfriend Wan Si Si manages all the staff, clerical, legal and accounting work for his business which puts him at ease to concentrate on his clients. Though Leo feels their relationship is steady, Si Si often feels insecure and neglected by Leo since they have been together for so long and she has no legal status. While witnessing an employee going through a nasty divorce, Si Si fears that Leo will leave her one-day and secretly has her lawyer draw up documents so she can have half of Leo's business without him knowing.
